Founder, Infant Swimming Resource
Infant Swimming Resource is a behavioral approach to
pediatric drowning prevention for infants and young
children. It involves the application of operant
conditioning principles together with relevant
psychological/medical protocols to affect aquatic survival
behaviors in infants and young children. The ISR
technique has taught over 170,000 infants and young
children lifesaving aquatic skills. Over 750 ISR students
have used their skills to save themselves from a definite
drowning situation. ISR also offers a comprehensive
instructor training program.
1972- 2007 Founder and Director, Infant Swimming Research
Infant Swimming Research is the adaptation of the Infant
Swimming Resource technique to accommodate infants and
young children with Special Needs. Over 2,500 children
have participated in the program since 1972. Infant
Swimming Research has also developed and tested a
comprehensive instructor training program.
